Let's take a look at some of the best cars to hit the market this week.
Ford GT Carbon Series
2021 (71) | 103 Miles | £745,000
Believed to be one of just five Carbon Series Ford GTs supplied to the UK, this GT has had just one owner from new and still has delivery mileage, so it’s desperately waiting for someone to give it the life it deserves!
Finished in Liquid Grey, a £4,400 option and completely covered in PPF, the carbon series does what it says on the tin, with lashings of the stuff inside and out including stunning exposed carbon fibre stripes running down the centre of the car and even carbon fibre wheels.
Porsche 911 (997) GT2
2008 (08) | 2,600 Miles | £179,950
Ah the modern widowmaker, the 997 GT2 is something the likes of which we don’t really see anymore. Brutish power, manual gearbox and just the bare minimum in terms of driver aids to keep you from being too silly. I’ve driven one of these, and taming the beast was a truly exhilarating and memorable experience.
From what I can see, there are less than 50 997 GT2s in the UK so it’s a rare machine, and this is a desirable Clubsport model with carbon-backed bucket seats and roll cage, and it has just 2,600 miles on the clock
Maserati MC20 Cielo
2023 (23) | 1,150 Miles | £199,950
The topless version of Maserati’s highly anticipated mid-engined supercar, the MC20 Cielo is a stunning machine, especially in this triple-layer Rosso Vincente paint, which was a £9,650 option. We’re just getting started on option spending here though, as the carbon fibre interior package was £8,400, the rear spoiler £4,200, and the exterior carbon fibre package £43,400, enough to buy you something like a nice BMW M2 with its own exterior carbon package! Thankfully, all that is protected with PPF.
Even at our events, these are a very rare sight and they’re not just a looker, they’re a fantastic, seriously quick car to drive too.
Ferrari 488 Pista
2019 (19) | 1,250 Miles | £299,995
A Pista with barely over a thousand miles for under £300k? Sounds good to me! This is an Atelier car finished in stunning Giallo Triplo Strato (triple-layer yellow) and all of the important exterior carbon. The most obvious thing you’ll notice immediately is its lack of stripe which I’m sure will divide opinion. I like it, but hey, you can always put one on should you fancy it!
The interior carries over the yellow theme more subtly than the exterior with contrasting stitching throughout and yellow Cavallinos on the headrests. You’ll also benefit from the remainder of the Ferrari 7-year service plan until March 2026, so it’s just fuel and tyres in the meantime!
McLaren 570GT
If the mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive, twin-turbo V8-powered supercar above is a little rich for you, allow me to present the same recipe in what must be the best value supercar you can buy, the McLaren 570GT. It isn't often you see the GT model in a bright colour, and this MSO Volcano Yellow Elite paint is stunning with a great metallic fleck in the light. Similarly to the Pista above, the yellow also continues inside with the seatbelts and stitching. With a hair under 10,000 miles on the clock, I'd bet this 570GT is up for less than half of its original list price given its list of options.
I love the way these cars drive. They're small, nimble, have great steering feel and the perfect amount of power to feel really fast, but still quite exploitable. They're like a Lotus on steroids but with the refinement of a Porsche, and for £85k, you'll struggle to better the 570GT's blend of performance, supercar looks and usability.
Ford GT
2004 | 1,633 Miles | £379,995
We touched on the new Ford GT above, and this 2004 car has just hit the market as well with its supercharged V8 instead of the new car’s V6. They’re very different machines indeed, but this is the one I’ve always had a soft spot for thanks to its looks, its epic soundtrack and its manual gearbox.
This car is number 354 of 2022 cars worldwide, of which 504 were finished in Centennial White, a colour that really works with the blue stripes. This car also has upgraded suspension with KW coilovers!
