Google rc::a, rc::b and rc::c – Used to distinguish between humans and bots. This is beneficial for the website, in order to make valid reports on the use of their website. Expires after users session.

Google _gat – Used by Google Analytics to throttle request rate

Google r/collect – Used to send data to Google Analytics about the visitor’s device and behavior. It tracks the visitor across devices and marketing channels. Expires after users session.

Google NID – Registers aunique ID that identifies a returning user’s device. The ID is used for targeted ads. Expires after 6 months.

_ga and _gid – Registers a unique ID that is used to generate statistical data on how the visitor uses the website. _ga Expires after 2 years _gid expires after 1 day.

_s, _shopify_s, _shopify_y and _y – Collects data on visitors’ behaviour and interaction – This is used to optimize the website. _s and _shopify_s expire after 1 day _shopify_y and _y expire after 2 years.

YouTube GPS – Registers a unique ID on mobile devices to enable tracking based on geographical GPS location. Expires after 1 day.

YouTube VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE – Tries to estimate the users’ bandwidth on pages with integrated YouTube videos.

YouTube YSC – Registers a unique ID to keep statistics of what videos from YouTube the user has seen. Expires after users session.

YouTube yt-remote-cast-installed, yt-remote-fast-check-period, yt-remote-device-id, yt-remote-session-app, yt-remote-session-name and yt-remote-connected-devices – Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video. Expires after users session.
