Spotted for Sale — Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta

If you like unique specifications and carbon fibre (lots and lots of carbon fibre), this one is for you!

What could possibly improve an 830hp, naturally-aspirated V12, rear-wheel drive, stripped-back, limited-edition Ferrari? Taking its roof off, of course! If the 812 Competizione somehow wasn't enough of an assault on the senses, opening yourself up to the elements and that V12 soundtrack should be just the remedy, and if you need a bit more convincing still, the spec of this one should be the cherry on top.

With 830 vocal Italian race horses under your right foot, the Competizione demolishes straights with as much ferocity as it carves corners. If you think of it as a track weapon wearing a tuxedo, you wouldn’t be far off. Those who have driven the Aperta report it can act appropriately for that tuxedo at times too, with fantastic ride quality and greater refinement than its predecessors, the F12 TDF and 599 GTO, both known for being a wild ride.

Now, this spec! The most obvious feature is the colour, Verde Zeltweig. This two-layer colour is one of the darkest greens in Ferrari's palette, it could almost be mistaken for black in the shade, but under sunlight, it's vibrant metallic flakes turn it into an amazingly rich, sparkly green. The green is contrasted with the subtle Giallo Fly (yellow) livery across the bonnet and matching yellow calipers, plus of course all the carbon fibre you could possibly imagine. The full lot is covered in PPF to keep it looking as amazing as it does right now with 150 miles on the clock.

Inside, things get even more interesting. You'd probably expect black Alcantara with yellow stitching, or maybe even some green over tan vibes, but no, the original owner went bold with Bordeaux red Alcantara. It's Marmite, for sure, but I love it. Admittedly, I once ordered a BMW in blue with red leather, but you only live once, right?

I'm going to keep this short and sweet so you can go and drool over the full gallery of colourful goodness and carbon fibre, but before we do, let's talk values. The new price of one of these in the UK, if you were in the exceptionally exclusive club who were offered one, of course, was around £500,000. Now, obviously this will have been considerably more than that, given all the options, but the way these have rocketed on the used market is wild, and this car is asking £1,450,000.

Some will say that's hypercar money, some will say just 599 will ever be made, its spec is truly unique and it may well be the last NA V12 Ferrari. I'd love to hear which side of the fence you're on, but for now, take a look at the full advert and gallery here.
