18 MSO special editions mark McLaren's 2024 F1 Constructor's title.
2024 marked McLaren's first Formula 1 Constructor's title since 1998, when Mika Hakkinen also clinched the Driver's title over Michael Schumacher. After a 26 year wait, you better believe McLaren are celebrating what was their ninth Constructor's title, and have released a limited run of road cars to commemorate the best moment in their recent history.
Named MCL38 Celebration Edition after the MCL38 chassis Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri piloted last year, the run is split between 750S and Artura, with just nine examples of each — no points for guessing why. All 18 models in total will have McLaren Special Operations Magic worked on them with the traditional Papaya Orange colour combined with Anthracite, just like the F1 car. The nine theme continues, with nine orange stars arranged to read the number '9', as a more in-your-face nod to McLaren's ninth title. A Papaya Orange stripe on the bonnet is also home to a 'Champion's Laurel'.
We haven't seen photos of the interiors, but the exposed carbon fibre extended sill covers are signed by both Norris and Piastri. In the frunk, a plaque documents McLaren's wins, poles and fastest laps of last year, and the interior has a dedication plaque which incorporates an actual piece of MCL38 F1 car bodywork.
The car's are mechanically identical to the regular versions and a price hasn't been announced, but with just 18 in total, you have to imagine all may already be allocated. If that's the case and you want one, you might have to hope McLaren are just as successful in 2025!
