From time to time, we hear a familiar question: “Looking at the calendar, there are only a handful of events I’d personally attend, and many have additional charges. Is the membership really worth it?” It’s a fair question, and one we welcome, because it gives us the opportunity to be completely open about how Supercar Driver works, where the value really lies, and why membership unlocks far more than it might first appear.
We’ve recently analysed our 2026 calendar in detail, and the numbers tell a story that often gets missed. For the year ahead, we already have 112 confirmed events scheduled. Of those, 70 are completely free to attend, or only require a very small contribution such as breakfast or coffee if desired. Alongside this, we are actively building a further 45 free-to-attend events across the UK. This means that the majority of our annual calendar is included within your membership. These are not discounted events, not limited offers, and not conditional benefits, they are simply part of what it means to be a Supercar Driver member.

So why do some events carry an additional cost? The simple answer is that certain experiences genuinely cost significant amounts of money to deliver properly. Track days, European tours, private venues, exclusive hospitality, factory visits, luxury hotels, premium catering, specialist instructors, filming, logistics and security all come with very real costs. In these cases, we have a choice: dilute the experience to make it cheaper, or deliver it properly and price it transparently. We will always choose the latter. Importantly, you only ever pay for the experiences you choose to attend. Membership unlocks access, priority and opportunity, it does not obligate participation.
It’s also worth remembering that Supercar Driver is not simply an events business. If everything were reduced to a pay-per-event model, we would lose the very thing that makes this community special. Membership is about connection, belonging and purpose. It’s about having a national network of like-minded owners, regional WhatsApp groups, spontaneous meet-ups, shared drives, priority access, partner benefits that could cover the cost of your membership, insider knowledge, trusted connections, and a sense that your car has a reason to be used, not just admired. This is the foundation of Your Reason to Drive, the idea that ownership should feel rewarding, social, exciting and meaningful, not static.

Not every member wants the same experience, and that’s exactly how it should be. Some members attend monthly breakfast meets, a handful of drives and one or two standout events each year. Others immerse themselves fully, joining track days, tours, national events and overseas trips. Many fall somewhere in between. The beauty of membership is the freedom to choose — there is no pressure, no expectation and no obligation. You engage as much or as little as suits your lifestyle, your location and your availability, knowing that when you do want to get involved, the opportunities are there.
Behind the scenes, we work relentlessly to increase the number of included events, improve regional coverage, evolve the variety of experiences, unlock harder-to-access opportunities, and continuously raise the quality of what we deliver. We want membership to feel generous, not transactional. We want access to feel natural, not exclusive. And above all, we want every member to feel that being part of Supercar Driver adds genuine value to their ownership experience.
When nearly 70% of our calendar is included, and the remaining events unlock experiences that simply aren’t possible without the scale, relationships and access we’ve built over 15 years, the conversation shifts. The real question becomes not whether membership represents value, but how you personally choose to use it. Whether your reason to drive in 2026 is a local breakfast meet, a coast road blast, a track day, a European adventure, or simply the friendships built along the way, our role is to make sure the opportunity is always there when you want it.
